Meet our Guiding HR Manager Kat Vaughan from Australia! Kat has been with the Fox Glacier Guiding family since 2012, Kat initially started work at our café, but her background was the outdoors, she loved her time in the café but was constantly craving to get up on the ice! She did one season glacier guiding and was hooked! Kat studied outdoor Education in Australia and worked with students for three years; hiking, paddling and camping. She thinks Australia is great but was ready for a change of scenery and it

OPEN - the road south between Fox Glacier and Wanaka is now open! We are open, our Fox Glacier Experiences are operating as normal (weather permitting) and we have been enjoying some sunny days! Congratulations to our Guiding Manager Marius, who was recently presented with two awards from NZMGA (New Zealand Mountain Guides Association). The first award is Top Assistant Ski Guide (amongst the Level 1 candidates, for which he sat his exam in 2018), But the more significant one was the Andy Harris Award. This is given out for Services to Guiding/the Profession. Marius has contributed significantly to the West Coast guiding scene, and has also been instrumental in supporting new guides into various pathways. The awards are a fitting testament to Marius
