Sales and Reservations Assistant

Alpine Guides Fox Glacier is looking for an outgoing and motivated Sales and Reservations Assistant to join our team.

Fox Glacier is New Zealand’s largest commercially guided glacier, situated in Glacier Country, on the West Coast of the South Island. We pride ourselves in providing awesome experiences such as; guided walks, ice climbing adventures and helihikes.

Our Customer Services Team is the first point of contact for our clients and plays an important part in the day to day running of the business. The role is also responsible for retail sales and New Zealand post for Fox Glacier.

The position requires somebody who can work effectively and positively under pressure, and can be motivated when left without supervision. The Sales and Reservations position is ideal for somebody who is looking to expand their understanding of the Customer Service and Tourism industries.

The ideal applicant would have:

  • The legal right to work in New Zealand continuously for at least one year
  • A cheerful and positive personality
  • Be a team player
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Great customer service skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience with retail or booking systems would be an advantage

We are currently offering a full time permanent position 35 hrs pw in winter and 45 pw in summer. The successful person could expect an hourly rate of between $17.50 – $19.00 once trained, as well as good incentives and regular access to Glacier trips.
